This weeks hash is the Annual Kgale Hill G+T run 

We will start at the quarry car park at 10 00am
  

Directions to Kgale car park as follows:

Take the right turn off Lobatse road towards Game City car park (first robots after the Game City circle), but continue up the hill past the car park turn. 

After about 1k the road levels out or even goes slightly down towards the quarry gates.

The parking area for the Kgale path is on the left in front of the quarry gate (the quarry road bends slightly right here).

(Note for runners who have done the King of the Hill race – we cannot use the route through the quarry which the race uses. The normal path is steeper, rougher but probably a bit shorter than the race route – there are two alternatives near the top, one short and steep finishing directly at the summit, the other easier, crossing to join the tar road up the hill which the race uses)
There will be refreshments at the top 

The climb will be the long this week.

 The short will be a lap of the car park with refreshments to follow. Those doing the short are
advised to bring chairs.

Hello dear,

The reason for contacting you is that I have certain assets in Europe which might be frozen if the situation gets to that point, as such I do wish to protect myself. As of this moment, my liquid funds in banks in the United States have been frozen thus rendering me financially incapacitated. The bulk of my assets is contained in Euro clear Bonds and Medium Term Notes.

Here is my proposal. I would be wanting to transfer ownership of all my financial instruments totaling 500 million Euro over to you on an Asset Management basis. The instruments would be in your name and you would manage them on my behalf. For this, i would be willing to reward you with a 10% stake. Usually, asset managers receive 7% but because of the extenuating circumstances, I am willing to offer you 10%. Kindly consider this proposal and get back to me urgently as time is really of the essence. Further details would be discussed upon your response.

Here are your directions to the Sunday July26th hash, at Lesley's place in Phakalane. There will be a bring and braai to follow and the run will start at 10 00am

 .

Bring the usual stuff and remember to sign up for the Ostrich Migration as we need to start sorting the legs and teams out fairly soon.

If you won't be there but intend to migrate with us, please contact us on here and let me know if you need a bed, will camp, will camp but need a tent or will run but not stay overnight.

We will plan to finish the run before 4 00pm so there will be time to circle down, grab a drink and a few nibbles and still be home before dark!

Directions

 

Take the Western by pass towards Francistown and turn right at the robots into  Phakalane .

 

Cross over the railway line to the circle and  take the first left (KH3 sign] with industrial buildings on your left.

 

Take third road on the right (KH sign should be there) into Semarule Road, stay on that road past an empty plot on the left.

Fwd: Hash July 19th

    This week we are in the Kumakwane area on Sunday 19th July,  starting at 10am.
Anne and John will be your hares and there will be the usual bring and braai to
> follow at the lodge we are running from.

   Directions . 

Take the Kanye turn from the Western by-pass at the Rainbow School Circle. It is a dual carriageway through Mogaditshane, becoming single track after about 5K.

 Continue along the road for about another 4K to Choppies on the left.
 Pass the tar road signed  to Gabane village and carry on for about 5K, past the end of the hill, going over a cattle grid, past a picnic site and on until you see a Puma Garage on your left.

Turn left as if going into the garage but immediately ,take a turn onto a dirt road on the left, which we will sign. This goes down towards houses, but there is a branch to the right. Follow this, becoming a good sand road, for about 1K until it forks to the right (sign here I think). Take the right fork (two choices, one bumpy, the other sandy) and follow it for 2-300m. Shortly after it goes though an obvious gap between posts there is another right turn, and the lodge appears almost immediately. They advise us to park inside, though there is space outside also.

Fwd: Sunday July 5th Hash

On Sunday Jean, Sue and Lesley will be setting the annual Game Park Hash. We can't actually roam around in the Game Park so the run will be in the surrounding area  but we will have our bring and braai in the Park after the run.

There is parking outside if people want to car share into the Park itself.

I believe there will be a beer stop which will allow a shorter run/walk for those who want to drive from there to the Park.

Directions

From the Riverwalk area, drive north past the University and the Gabs Sun to the large Nyrere drive crossroad [robots]

Turn right here, through one set of robots, for about 1K, looking for a sign to the Game Park.

Turn right hereinto the Game Park road and look for KHHH signs.

From the Western Bypass

Turn into Gaborone from the BTV circle [junction north of Molapo Crossing, south of Botswanacraft.] Drive to the robots on Nelson Mandela and straight across into Nyrere Drive. Follow Nyrere to the robots at Segodiswane Way junction. cross this and look for the signs to the Game Park on your right. Turn in and look for the KHHH signs

From Broadhurst

Drive south towards the Gabs Sun but turn left at the robots before the Sun. Drive 1K along this road, looking for the Game Park turning on the right. Turn here and look for the KHHH signs

Bring all your stuff for the braai if you plan to join us.

The Yacht Club will be open on Wednesday for those who want a mid-week run/walk.
