Fwd: Next hash: Monday the 28th, 6pm.

Greetings, Hashers,
For those not paying attention over the past few weeks, we finally have a Monday hash on the books.  Prepare yourselves for this coming week (28 January, 6pm - be punctual!) out in the wild rural environs of Mokolodi.  Nameless and Shameless will be your hares, and directions are as follows:

Date/Time: Monday, 28 January, 18h00.

Location: near Mokolodi Village - 10km south of Game City Circle (only ten minutes travel time from there).

Directions:  Take the A1 Lobatse road south from Game City Circle.  After passing the BTC Earth Station (giant satellite dishes/alien signal receptors), travel a further 3km and turn right on to the narrow tar road to Mokolodi Village.  The junction has no signpost or decent markings.  Beware of enthusiastic/suicidal drivers trying to overtake as you signal/turn right!  There should be a K3H sign at this junction and you will also see a sign for Mokolodi Indigenous Nurseries.  Note this is NOT the Mokolodi Nature Reserve road, in fact it is 3km BEFORE that turn off.

Travel a further 3km till the tar ends.  Watch out for unexpected dish drains (if you don't know what a dish drain is, you will quickly realise after the sudden jolt and/or removal! of your sump). Also beware cattle, donkeys, goats.  Leopards are still around but the hares will buy you a six pack if you see one.  Or a case if you get a photo.

When tar ends fork right and travel approx 500m to final hash sign and venue on right.

We wish to start promptly so please do your best to get away from work in good time.

Fwd: This Week's Hash: Sunday, 20th Jan, 10:00am, Gabane

Hello Hashers,
This week's hash will be in scenic Gabane, and Mary Poppins + Cat Lady will be your hares.

Due to the searing Botswana heat, it'll be on the short side, with a refreshing beverages and an on-after bring & braai at the end.

Directions:

From the Rainbow School circle on the Western Bypass take the A10 road west, signposted Thamaga, Kanye. It goes through Mogoditshane as a dual carriageway,  becomes single track as it leaves Mogoditshane by the Engen filling station. After about 4K the Gabane road leaves the main road on the left – DO NOT TAKE IT – stay on the main road for about another 2K. Where the hill ridge in front of you meets the road there is a turnoff left onto a good dirt road. There is a cluster of many signs here, including Do Not Litter (as if!), Thatched Houses for Rent etc etc. There will also be a KH3 sign. Take this left turn for about 300m, then take the third turning right which has another Thatched Houses for Rent sign and a sign saying Ditlhareng The Taylors. There will also be a KH3 sign here. 50m up this road is a gate and parking on the right where the hash will start. John and Anne's house is about 200m up the road through the gate and the finish circle and braai will be there but there isn't room for many cars. However there is a security man at the gate and he will be bribed to look after the cars.

It will be a bush run. Don't forget your braai stuff for on afters.

Fwd: This week's hash: MONDAY the 14th, Mokolodi

Apologies for the delay in the email, but your hare razor was in transit. And apparently (for once) the K3H erred on the side of caution (???) and had TWO hares in line and ready to go (Thanks, Nutty) so if you think you're going to Metsimotlhabe this weekend, scratch that, because you're going to Mokolodi for our "annual Monday hash"... instead.

Date/Time: Monday, 14 January, 18h00.

The run will end before dark but suggest you may wish to bring a head/torch or flashlight (handy for finding your beers in the bottom of the cooler boxes after 7pm).
