Fwd: Hash 1713 Monday May 4th

 

This week's hash is on Monday May 4th, at the Golf Club [it's between the University and the Gaborone Sun Hotel, for those who don't know it]

This will be a walk/run by the light of the full moon [hopefully!]

 

Gather at 6 00pm so we can start as the moon rises at 6 15pm. Please bring a torch if you have one as we cannot guarantee moonshine!

There will be no hash beer but the golf club bar will be open.

We did intend to on-on at the cricket club but their kitchen is closed on Mondays so some of us have decided to eat at the Red Lantern Chinese Restaurant on Kubu Road. You are all welcome to join us but it would be nice to have some rough idea of numbers if you weren't involved in the decision at the last hash.

 

It is also Star Wars Day so feel free to channel your inner Yoda or whatever!

Dear beloved friend,

I know that this letter may be a very big surprise to you,I am giving you my trust and wish you will give me
back the trust I have given you. I believe that you will be honest to fulfill my final wish before I will die.

My name is Mr. Daniel Molnar, I am 58 years old, I am suffering from a long time cancer of the blood .
From all indication my condition is really deteriorating, and my doctors have courageously advised me that
I may not live beyond the next two months, this is because the cancer stage has reached a critical stage.
I was was married to my late for twenty years without a child.
My wife and I are true Christians though I have no hatred in any religion, but quite unfortunately, she died
in a labor room so I could not hear the cry of a child in my house Since her death I decided not to re-marry.

I sold all my belongings and deposited all the sum of $10.2million dollars with somewhere for safefty, as it
was packaged and registered as a personal Valuable.

Presently, this money is still in their custody, and the management just wrote me as the Legitimate
beneficiary to come forward to receive the Deposit after keeping it for so long or rather issue a letter of
authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf since I cannot come over as a result of my illness,
Presently, I'm with my laptop in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment. I have since lost my
ability to walk about or do anything by myself and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to
live.

It is my last wish to see that this money is invested in any business of your choice and the gain made every
year or 6 months be distributed among the charity organization,widows,the poor/less priviledge and the
motherless baby's home/orphanage of your choice.

I want your good humanitarian, to also use this money as I have instructed, then 20% for you.

I must let you know that this was a very hard decision, but I had to take a bold step towards this issue
because I have no further option. I hope you will help see my last wishes come true.

As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of where the fund is. I will also issue you a
letter of authority, which will prove that you are the new beneficiary of my funds. Please assure me that
you will act accordingly as I stated herein.

Hash 1711 on Sunday 19th April will be hosted and set by the Hunts

 

OK directions to the Hunt Household – Plot 11945 Broadhurst.

 

1)      Get yourself to the 4 way crossing governed by traffic lights (when they work) at the North-end/Top end of BBS Mall –

a.       If coming from the south or city centre either come up Nelson Mandela until the RIGHT hand intersection with Lemenyane - the last set of traffic lights BEFORE you go around the corner and over the rail bridge – turn RIGHT into Lemenyane heading towards BBS Mall and the 4 way intersection at top end of BBS Mall

b.      OR If coming up Segoditshane past the Gabs Sun and then the Gabs Pvt Hospital and the Puma Service Station on your right till you hit the 4 way traffic light intersection at top end of BBS Mall

c.       OR if coming from the North and Phakalane, take a LEFT at the main airport traffic lights on Western By-pass into Nelson Mandela, over the rail bridge to the set of lights at left hand intersection with Lemenyane – take a LEFT into Lemenyane heading towards 4 way traffic light intersection at top end of BBS Mall

2)      IF coming from Nelson Mandela via Lemenyane, go straight through the 4 way traffic light intersection at top end of BBs Mall – continue on Lemenyane to the traffic circle with Limpopo Drive.

3)      IF coming up Segoditshane past the Gabs Pvt Hospital at the 4 way traffic light intersection turn RIGHT into Lemenyane at intersection and follow it down to the traffic circle with Limpopo Drive.

4)      THROUGH the traffic circle with Limpopo Drive and down to the first turn off to the LEFT – SEDI.

5)      Down Sedi to the T junction with SEROWE Square (Flats directly in front of you – TULI Court)

6)      At T Junction – take a RIGHT into SEROWE SQUARE and follow road round the very sharp left hand bend.

7)      AFTER the sharp left hand bend - take next turn-off to the RIGHT – NXOGODIMO Crescent.

8)      After taking a right at the T junction in the corner facing you is a large light coloured face brick wall with two large palm trees – gable over entrance with black gate = Plot 11945!!!

Fwd: Hashmas

 Hashmas 2015 will be taking place on June 27th

This year we will be returning to Bahurutse Cultural village, following a very enjoyable Hashmas in 2014 there.

For those of you who are new to the idea, hashmas is Xmas in Winter. The northern hemisphere born hashers find it odd to be eating turkey and all the trimmings in a garden, in t-shirts as we do in December here. Hashmas is more like the Yuletide celebration of the return of the sun so takes place in the middle of winter.

We will be cooking our own turkey dinner with all the trimmings, decorating the tables, wearing red and green etc. There will be a big fire to sit around and the  singing of Xmas songs.

The hash run will take place before the meal and something will be arranged for Sunday morning before we all leave for home.

Accommodation is available as below. All prices include VAT

Chalets [7] sleep two, mostly with double beds @ P400     with an extra bed @P500

Larger Setswana huts [2]--sleep up to 7 @P110 per person

Fixed tents with bedding @P220 pp

Camping with your own tent @ P95

There will be a sign up sheet on the board at the hash runs, or you can contact us by e-mail to put your names down.

We would like to have final numbers and payment by June 20th at the very latest--earlier would be better!

  Hello Hashers!!  

Hash 1710, Sunday April 12th will be back in Gabs and hared by Vladi and Craig.

!0 00 am start and bring and braai afterwards--TBC. {take it as read unless I change it!}

Directions as follows

 
  Our house is most easily accessed from Nelson Mandela, coming away from the Airport Junction direction.

Once you pass the Bull and Bush turn off, take a left on Independence. 

The second right will be Dikgafela Way and we're at the compound at the end of the drive—3124.

If you're coming from Riverwalk area, turn on Independence and pass the Main Mall. 

Continue past North Ring and Presidents—Dikgafela Way will be the next street!
