Hashmas 2015 will be taking place on June 27th
This year we will be returning to Bahurutse Cultural village, following a very enjoyable Hashmas in 2014 there.
For those of you who are new to the idea, hashmas is Xmas in Winter. The northern hemisphere born hashers find it odd to be eating turkey and all the trimmings in a garden, in t-shirts as we do in December here. Hashmas is more like the Yuletide celebration of the return of the sun so takes place in the middle of winter.
We will be cooking our own turkey dinner with all the trimmings, decorating the tables, wearing red and green etc. There will be a big fire to sit around and the singing of Xmas songs.
The hash run will take place before the meal and something will be arranged for Sunday morning before we all leave for home.
Accommodation is available as below. All prices include VAT
Chalets [7] sleep two, mostly with double beds @ P400 with an extra bed @P500
Larger Setswana huts [2]--sleep up to 7 @P110 per person
Fixed tents with bedding @P220 pp
Camping with your own tent @ P95
There will be a sign up sheet on the board at the hash runs, or you can contact us by e-mail to put your names down.
We would like to have final numbers and payment by June 20th at the very latest--earlier would be better!
